Piece is a feminine scarf knit in lace and textured rib stitches borrowed from the cardigan Peace, found in Norah Gaughan Vol 4. SIZE MATERIALS GAUGE PATTERN STITCH Note: Due to the nature of this pattern stitch, the number of sts will vary from row to row. The number given after each row indicates the number of sts you will have on your needle after completing that row. Row 1 (RS): K2, p2, k1, * p2, k2, p1, k1, yo, SSK, p1, k2, p2, k1, rep from * twice more, end p2, k2 – 51 sts. Row 2: K4, p1, * k2, p2, k1, p1, yo, p2 tog, k1, p2, k2, p1, rep from * twice more, end k4 – 51 sts. Row 3: K2, p2, k into back and front of next st, * p2, k2, p1, k1, yo, SSK, p1, k2, p2, k into back and frontof next st, rep from * twice more, end p2, k2 – 55 sts. Row 4: K4, p2 tog, * k2, p2, k1, p1, yo, p2 tog, k1, p2, k2, p2 tog, rep from * twice more, end k4 – 51 sts. Rep these 4 rows for Pat St. SCARF With straight needles, cast on 51 sts. Knit 1 rows on WS. Work even in Pat St until yarn is almost gone, end on Row 4. Work Row 1 once more, end on RS. Knit the next row, eliminating all yo’s and working the p2 togs as k2 tog – 48 sts. Knit 1 row. Bind off. Weave in ends and block. |
