Chinchilla Glacé

in Chinchilla and Glace. A garter stitch scarf with silken Glace fringe.

FINISHED SIZE:
12" wide x 60" long (Not including fringe).

MATERIALS:
BERROCO CHINCHILLA (50 grs), 5 balls #5363 Midnight (MC).
BERROCO GLACE (50 grs), 1 hank #2363 Midnight (CC).
Straight knitting needles, size 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook, size 4.50 mm (G).

GAUGE:
3 sts = 1" in Garter St with MC.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

SCARF:
With size 8 needles, using MC, cast on 36 sts. Work even in Garter St (k EVERY row) until piece measures 60" from beg. Bind off all sts.

FRINGE:
Cut 2 15" long strands of CC. Put strands together and fold in half. With crochet hook, draw center of strands through first stitch of cast-on edge of scarf, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. In this manner, make fringe in each stitch across entire cast-on edge of scarf. Repeat for bound-off edge of scarf. Trim fringe to even off, if necessary.
