MATERIALS
BERROCO SENSUWOOL® (50 grs), 14(15-16-17) balls #6535 Fawn (MC).
BERROCO GLACE (50 grs), 3(3-4-4) hanks #2535 Fawn (CC).
Straight knitting needles, sizes 6 and 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
16" length circular knitting needle,
size 6.
Cable Needle (cn).
1 St Marker.

GAUGE
11 sts = 2"; 7 rows = 1" in Cable Pat.
5 sts = 1"; 7 rows = 1" in St st.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

STITCH GLOSSARY
RT2
K the next 2 sts tog, then k the first st again.
CF4
Sl 2 sts onto cn and hold in FRONT, k 2, then k 2 from cn.

STRIPE SEQUENCE
Working in pat as established, work 14 rows MC, 2 rows CC. Rep these 16 rows for Stripe Sequence.

CABLE PAT
Row 1 (RS):
K 2, (p 3, k 2) 1(2-3-5) times, * p 3, k 1, p 2, k 1, (p 3, k 2) twice, rep from * 4 times more, p 3, k 1, p 2, k 1, (p 3, k 2) 2(3-4-6) times.
Row 2 and all WS rows: K the k sts and p the p sts as they face you.
Row 3: K 2, (p 3, RT2) 1(2-3-5) times, * p 3, k 1, p 2, k 1, (p 3, RT2) twice, rep from * 4 times more, p 3, k 1, p 2, k 1, (p 3, RT2) 1(2-3-5) times, p 3, k 2.
Row 5: Rep Row 1.
Row 7: K 2, (p 3, RT2) 1(2-3-5) times, * p 3, k 4, (p 3, RT2) twice, rep from * 4 times more, p 3, k 4, (p 3, RT2) 1(2-3-5) times, p 3, k 2.

Rep these 24 rows for Cable Pat.

BACK
With smaller straight needles, using MC, cast on 109(119-129-149) sts.
Row 1 (WS): P 1, * k 1, p 1, rep from * across.
Row 2: K 1, * p 1, k 1, rep from * across. Rep Row 1 once more, end on WS. Change to larger needles and work even in Cable Pat for 6 rows. Change to CC and work in Cable Pat for 2 rows, then, following Stripe Sequence, work even in Cable Pat until piece measures 14-1/2" from beg, end on Row 2 of Cable Pat (10th row of Stripe Sequence).
Shape Armholes: Bind off 6(6-6-8) sts at beg of the next 2 rows.
Row 1 (RS): K 1, SKP, work in Cable Pat to last 3 sts, k 2 tog, k 1.
Row 2: P 2, work in Cable Pat to last 2 sts, p 2. Rep these 2 rows 6(5-5-7) times more - 83(95-105-117) sts. Keeping 2 sts each side in St st, work even in Cable Pat until armholes measure 8(8-1/2-9-9-1/2)”, end on WS.
Shape Shoulders and Neck: Bind off 8(10-10-12) sts, work until there are 24(28-32-36) sts on RH needle, join another ball of yarn and bind off center 19(19-21-21) sts for neck, work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 8(10-10-12) sts at beg of the next row, then bind off 7(9-11-13) sts at beg of the next 4 rows. AT THE SAME TIME, bind off 5 sts at each neck edge twice.

FRONT
Work same as for back until armholes measure 6(6-1/2-7-7-1/2)”, end on WS.
Shape Neck: Work 32(38-42-48) sts, join another ball of yarn and bind off center 19(19-21-21) sts for neck, work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 2 sts at each neck edge 5 times. Work even on 22(28-32-38) sts each side until armholes measure 8(8-1/2-9-9-1/2)”, end on same row as for back. Shape shoulders same as for back.

SLEEVES
With smaller straight needles, using MC, cast on 41 sts. Work in ribbing same as for back for 3 rows, end on WS. Change to larger needles and k the next row, inc 4 sts evenly spaced across - 45 sts. P 1 row, then, working in St st, follow Stripe Sequence, inc 1 st every 4th row 0(1-10-19) times, then every 6th row 10(16-10-4) times, then every 8th row 5(0-0-0) times. Work even on 75(79-85-91) sts until sleeve measures 15-1/2" from beg, end on 10th row of Stripe Sequence (WS).
Shape Cap: Bind off 6(6-6-8) sts at beg of the next 2 rows.
Row 1 (RS): K 2, SKP, k to last 4 sts, k 2 tog, k 2.
Row 2: P. Rep these 2 rows 11(13-15-16) times more. Bind off 2 sts at beg of the next 2 rows, bind off 2(2-3-3) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then bind off 3 sts at beg of the next 4 rows. Bind off remaining 19 sts
.
FINISHING
Steam back and front lightly. Steam sleeves. Sew shoulder seams.
Turtleneck: With RS facing, using circular needle and MC, beg at left shoulder seam, pick up and k 29 sts along left front neck edge, pick up and k 19(19-21-21) sts across front neck edge, pick up and k 29 sts along right front neck edge, pick up and k 39(39-41-41) sts across back neck edge - 116(116-120-120) sts. Mark for beg of round and carry marker up. Following Stripe Sequence, work in k 2, p 2 ribbing until turtleneck measures 8". Bind off all sts loosely in ribbing.
Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.
