SIZES
Directions are for women’s size Small. Changes for sizes Medium/Large and X-Large are in parentheses.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust (closed) – 45(50-55)”.
Length – 37(38-38)”.

MATERIALS
BERROCO SENSUWOOL® (50 grs) 15(16-17) balls #6530 Jungle Brown (A).
BERROCO MOHAIR CLASSIC (43 grs) 15(16-17) balls #A7913 (B).
BERROCO CHINCHILLA (50 grs) 9 balls #5530 Jungle Brown (C).
Straight knitting needles, sizes 8, 10-1/2 and13 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Stitch Holders and Markers

GAUGES
5 sts = 2"; 9 rows = 2" in Rib Pat with size 13 needles and 1 strand each of A and B held tog.
3 sts = 1"; 4 rows = 1" in Reverse St st with size 10-1/2 needles and 2 strands C held tog.
5 sts = 1"; 7 rows = 1" in St st with size 8 needles and A.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGES.

RIB PAT (worked over an odd number of sts)
Row 1 (WS):
Purl.
Row 2: P 1, * k 1 in row below, p 1; rep from * to end.
Rep rows 1 and 2 for Rib Pat.

BACK
With size 13 needles and 1 strand each A and B held tog, cast on 57(63-69) sts. Work in rib pat for 37(38-38)”. Bind off all sts.

LEFT FRONT
With size 13 needles, and 1 strand each A and B held tog, cast on 33(37-39) sts. Work in Rib Pat for 37(38-38)”, end with a WS row. Bind off 20(24-26) sts at beg of next (RS) row for shoulder. Continue on remaining 13 sts for collar facing for 3". Place sts on a holder.

RIGHT FRONT
Work to correspond to left front, reversing shaping of collar facing.

SLEEVES
With size 13 needles and 1 strand each A and B held tog, cast on 29(31-31) sts. Work in rib pat for 4 rows. Inc 1 st each side on next row, then every 8th(8th-6th) row 7(7-9) times (working inc sts into rib pat). Work even on 45(47-51) sts until piece measures 15" from beg. Bind off all
sts.

POCKET LININGS (make 2)
With size 8 needles and A, cast on 30 sts and work in St st for 10". Bind off.

SLEEVE CUFFS (make 2)
With size 10-1/2 needles, and 2 strands C held tog, cast on 34(37-37) sts. Work in Reverse St st (p on RS, k on WS), inc 1 st each side every 6th row 3 times. Work even on 40(43-43) sts until piece measures 5" from beg. Bind off all sts.

COLLAR
With size 10-1/2 needles and 2 strands C held tog, cast on 15 sts and work in Reverse St st for 37(38-38)”, end on WS. Place a marker at end of RS row. Work 2 rows even.
First short row (RS): Work 5 sts, sl next st, turn, work to end of row. Work 4 rows over all sts.
Next short row (RS): Work 7 sts, sl next st, turn, work to end of row. Work 4 rows over all sts.
* Next short row (RS): Work 9 sts, sl next st, turn, work to end of row. Work 4 rows over all sts *. Rep between *’s once.
Next short row (RS): Work 7 sts, sl next st, turn, work to end of row. Work 4 rows over all sts.
Last short row (RS): Work 5 sts, sl next st, turn, work to end of row. Work 2 rows over all sts. Place a marker at end of RS row. Continue on all sts for 37(38-38)” more. Bind off all sts.

FINISHING
Steam pieces lightly. Sew shoulder seams. Place markers 9(9-1/2-10)” down from shoulder seams on front and back for armholes. Sew top of sleeves between markers. Sew sleeve seams. Beg at lower edge, sew first 14" of side seams. Leave next 6" unsewn for pocket opening. Sew remaining side seam. Sew cast-on edge of pocket lining along front pocket opening and bound-off edge along back pocket opening. Sew sides of pocket lining tog. Mark corners of back neck. Sew bound-off edges of collar facings tog. Sew inside edge to back neck edge, centering seam. With WS of collar facing RS of coat, baste collar around outside edge of jacket, matching markers on collar with back neck markers. Sew outside edge of collar along front edges and back neck.
