MATERIALS
BERROCO METALLIC FX (25 grs) 13(15-16-18-19) hanks #1002 Silver.
Straight knitting needles, sizes 6 and 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
2 Stitch holders.
11 3/8" JHB buttons, #95001.

GAUGE
11 sts = 2"; 31 rows = 4" in St st with size 8 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

STITCH GLOSSARY
SSSK

Sl 3 sts knitwise to RH needle and k3tog from this position.

NOTE
When working raglan shaping, if there are not enough sts to work eyelet detail, discontinue eyelet.

BACK
With smaller needles, cast on 97(105-113-121-129) sts.
Row 1 (RS): K1 TBL, * p1, k1 TBL, rep from * across.
Row 2: P1, * k1, p1, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows for 11/2”, end on Row 2. Change to larger needles.
Establish eyelets
Eyelet Row 1 (RS): K3, yo, k2tog,
k19(22-26-29-33), k2tog, yo, k45(47-47-49-49), yo, k2tog, k19(22-26-29-33), k2tog, yo, k3.
Rows 2-4: Work in St st over all sts. Rep rows 1-4 until piece measures 8" from beg. Discontinue center two eyelets and continue eyelets at side edges every 4th row, until piece measures 12(12-12-121/2-121/2)” from beg, end with row 4.
Shape Raglan Armholes: *Dec Row 1 (RS): K2, yo, sssk, k to last 5 sts, k3tog, yo, k2. P 1 row.
Dec row 2 (RS): K3, sssk, k to last 6 sts, k3tog, k3. P 1 row.* Rep between *’s 2(4-6-7-9) times more.
**Next Row (RS): Rep dec row 1. P 1 row.
Dec Row 3 (RS): K3, ssk, k to last 5 sts, k2tog, k3. P 1 row. ** Rep between **’s until there are 35(35-35-37-37) sts, end on WS.
Next Row (RS): Rep Dec Row 1. P 1 row - 33(33-33-35-35) sts, end on WS. Bind off all sts.

LEFT FRONT
With smaller needles, cast on 53(57-61-65-69) sts. Work in ribbing same as for back for 11/2”, end on WS. Change to larger needles.
Establish eyelets
Eyelet Row 1 (RS): K3, yo, k2tog, k19(22-26-29-33), k2tog, yo, k20(21-21-22-22). Place remaining 7 sts on a holder for button band.
Rows 2-4: Work in St st over 46(50-54-58-62) sts. Rep rows 1-4 until piece measures 8" from beg. Discontinue center eyelet and continue eyelet at side edge every 4th row, until piece measures 12(12-12-121/2-121/2)” from beg, end with row 4.
Shape Raglan Armhole: Work decs at beg of RS rows same as for back, until 37(41-45-49-53) rows have been worked in armhole.
Shape Neck: Next Row (WS): Bind off 6(6-6-7-7) sts (neck edge), work to end. Continue armhole decs, and bind off from neck edge 3 sts twice, 2 sts twice. When 2 sts remain, k2tog and fasten off last st.

RIGHT FRONT
Cast on and work rib same as left front for 3/4”, end on WS.
Buttonhole Row (RS): Rib 2 sts, k2tog, yo, rib to end. Continue in ribbing until piece measures 11/2” from beg, end on WS. Change to larger needles.
Establish eyelets
Eyelet Row 1 (RS): Rib 7 and place sts on a holder for buttonhole band, k20(21-21-22-22), yo, k2tog, k19(22-26-29-33), k2tog, yo, k3. Complete to correspond to left front, reversing shaping.

LEFT SLEEVE
With smaller needles, cast on 43(43-43-45-45) sts. Work in ribbing same as for back for 11/2”, end on WS. Inc 1 st at end of last row - 44(44-44-46-46) sts. Change to larger needles.
Establish eyelets
Eyelet Row 1 (RS): K3, yo, k2tog, k to last 5 sts, k2tog, yo, k3.
Rows 2-4: Work in St st over all sts. Rep rows 1-4 for eyelets, AT THE SAME TIME, inc 1 st each side (5 sts in from edge) every 6th row 2(12-19-16-8) times, every 8th(8th-0-4th-4th) row 12(5-0-5-17) times – 72(78-82-88-96) sts. Work even until piece measures 161/2(17-17-171/2-171/2)” from beg.
Shape Raglan Cap: Work same as back until there are 16(14-10-10-10) sts. Continue raglan dec at beg of RS rows (back edge), and AT THE SAME TIME, bind off at beg of WS rows (front edge) 3 sts 4(2-0-0-0) times, 2 sts 0(2-2-2-2) times, then dec 1 st 0(0-2-2-2) times.

RIGHT SLEEVE
Work to correspond to left sleeve, reversing shaping at top of sleeve cap.

FINISHING
Steam pieces. Sew raglan sleeve caps to raglan armholes.
Buttonband: With smaller needles, work 7 sts from left front holder, inc 1 st at inside edge. Continue in ribbing as established, working inc st in St st, until band fits along left front edge to beg of neck shaping. Sew band in place, adjusting length if necessary. Place sts on a holder. Place markers on band for nine buttons, the first one 3/4” from lower edge, the last one 3" below neck, and 7 others spaced evenly between.
Buttonhole band: Work to correspond to button band, working buttonholes opposite markers.
Neckband: With RS facing, using smaller needles, rib across 8 sts of right front holder, pick up and k89(89-89-93-93) sts evenly around neck edge, rib across 8 sts of left front holder. Beg with Row 2, work in ribbing same as for back on 105(105-105-109-109) sts, working another buttonhole after 1/4”. When neckband measures 3/4”, bind off in rib. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons.
