Steam piece (See instructions on page 1).
Leaves: Using yarn needle and A and B, work leaves in duplicate st, matching charts 1 and 2 to blocks shown on diagram. (Center design in block as closely as possible).
Flowers: Using yarn needle and C, join yarn to WS of sweater in center of duplicate st leaves. Bring needle to RS then WS of sweater, leaving a loop of yarn on RS. Insert needle halfway through to RS again and wrap loop of yarn firmly around needle for 1". Holding coiled yarn with thumb, pull needle completely through (Bullion St). Pull yarn taught and bring needle back to WS forming coiled loop. Make 4 more bullion sts closely around center, forming petals of flower. Fasten off. Make 1 flower at center of each set of leaves. Sew side and sleeve seams.
Sweater Edging: With RS facing, using crochet hook and MC, join yarn at left shoulder seam. Work 1 row of sc around neck, front and bottom edges, working 3 sc’s in each corner. Join with a sl st in first sc. Ch 1, DO NOT TURN. Working from LEFT TO RIGHT, work 1 sc in each sc around neck to right front edge. To form buttonloops, ch 2, skip 2 sc’s, sc in next sc. Make 4(4-5-5) buttonloops evenly spaced along right front edge, the first at beg of neck shaping and the last 11/2” above bottom edge. Join with a sl st in first ch 1. Fasten off.
Sleeve Edging: With RS facing, beg at sleeve seam, work same as for sweater edging. Sew on buttons.
