FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust (buttoned) – 40(46-1/2-55)".
Length – 21(22-23)".

MATERIALS
BERROCO SENSUWOOL (50 grs) 17(18-19) balls #6657 Oyster.
Straight knitting needles, size 7 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook size G.
Cable needle.
Nine 1/2" buttons.

GAUGE
22 sts = 31/2"; 8 rows = 1" in Cable/Lace Pat with size 7 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

CABLE/LACE PAT (mutiple of 11 sts plus 7)
Row 1 and all WS rows:
Purl.
Row 2: K1, *yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k6; rep from * to last 6 sts, end yo, ssk, k1, k2tog, yo, k1.
Row 4: K2, *yo, SK2P (sl 1, k2tog, psso), yo, k1, sl 3 sts to cn and hold to back of work, k3, k3 from cn, k1; rep from * to last 5 sts, end yo, SK2P, yo, k2.
Row 6: Rep row 2.
Row 8: K2, *yo, SK2P, yo, k8; rep from * to last 5 sts, end yo, SK2P, yo, k2.
Rep rows 1-8 for Cable/Lace Pat.
Note: When shaping in Cable/Lace Pat, if there are not enough sts to complete a cable, then work these sts in St st and if there is not a yo to compensate for every dec, and vice versa, then omit dec or inc.

BACK
Cast on 118(142-162) sts.
Row 1(RS): K2TBL, * p2, k2TBL, rep from * across.
Row 2: P2, * k2TBL, p2, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows 3 times more, dec 1(3-1) sts on last row. Continue in Cable/Lace Pat on 117(139-161) sts until piece measures 13" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armhole: Bind off 11 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Work even on remaining 95(117-139) sts until armhole measures 7(8-9)".
Shape Neck: Next Row (RS): Work 33(43-54) sts, join 2nd ball of yarn and bind off center 29(31-31) sts, work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off from each neck edge 2 sts 3 times. Bind off remaining 27(37-48) sts each side for shoulders.

LEFT FRONT
Cast on 62(74-86) sts.
Row 1 (RS): * K2TBL, p2, rep from * across. Rep this row 7 times more, dec 0(1-2) sts on last row. Continue in Cable/Lace Pat on 62(73-84) sts until piece measures 13" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armhole: Bind off 11 sts at beg of next row. Work even on remaining 51(62-73) sts until armhole measures 5-1/2(6-1/2-7-1/2)", end on RS.
Shape Neck: Next Row (WS): Bind off 5(6-6) sts (neck edge), work to end. Continue to bind off from neck edge 4 sts once, 3 sts twice, 2 sts 3 times, then dec 1 st every other row 3 times. Work even until same length as back. Bind off remaining 27(37-48) sts for shoulder.

RIGHT FRONT
Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping.

SLEEVES
Cast on 50 sts and work in ribbing same as for left front for 8 rows, inc 1 st at end of last row. Continue in Cable/Lace Pat on 51 sts, inc 1 st each side (working inc sts into pat when possible) every 4th row 0(12-33) times, then every 6th row 22(15-0) times. Work even on 95(105-117) sts until piece measures 20" from beg. Bind off all sts.

FINISHING
Steam pieces. Sew shoulder seams. Sew top of sleeves to front and back armholes, sewing last 1-3/4" at top of sleeve to bound-off armhole sts.
With RS facing, using crochet hook, work 1 row backwards sc (from left to right) evenly around front and neck edges. Sew on buttons. Use the yo’s in lace pat at front edge for buttonholes.
