FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Lower edge - 35 (36-38-40)".

MATERIALS
BERROCO SENSUWOOL® (50 grs), 4(4-5-6 ) balls #6334 Black.
24" length circular knitting needle, size 7 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
16" length circular knitting needle,
size 6.
1 set (4) dp needles size 4.
GAUGE
21 sts = 4"; 28 rows = 4" in St st using size 7 needles.
24 sts = 4"; 28 rows/rounds = 4" in k8, p2 rib using size 7 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
SKIRT
Beg at lower edge with size 7 circular needle, cast on 210 (220-230-240) sts. Join and place marker to indicate beg of round. K1 round, p1 round (for 2 rounds in garter st).
Round 3: *P2, k8; rep from * 20 (21-22-23) times more. Rep this round for k8, p2 rib until piece measures 4 (5-6-8)" from beg.
Next (dec) round: *P2, ssk, k4, k2tog, rep from * 20 (21-22-23) times more - 168 (176-184-192) sts.
Next round: *P2, k6; rep from * around. Rep this round for k6, p2 rib until piece measures 7-1/2(8-1/2-10-12)" from beg.
Next (dec) round: *P2, ssk, k2, k2tog; rep from * around - 126 (132-138-144) sts. Change to size 6 circular needle. K3 rounds.
Next round: K28 (29-30-32), yo, k2tog, k3 (4-5-4), yo, k2tog, (for 2 drawstring eyelets), k to end. K3 rounds. P next round for waistband fold line. K6 rounds. Bind off.
FINISHING
Block pieces to measurements.
Drawstring: With two size 4 dp needles, cast on 2 sts.
Row 1: K2. Do not turn work.
Row 2: Bring yarn from back to beg of row and k2. Rep row 2 for I-cord (always k from right edge without turning work) until cord measures 27 (28-29-30)" or desired length. Bind off. Thread I-cord through left eyelet hole to WS, around waist and back out through right eyelet. Fold and sew waistband to WS over drawstring. Knot each end of cord to hold in place.
Note: Skirt is knit in the round and there are no side seams. Measurements shown are achieved by laying skirt flat and measuring across.
