5 sts = 1" in Pat St.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

SCARF
With size 8 needles, cast on 30 sts.
Row 1: K1, * yo, p2 tog, rep from * across, end k1.
Rep this row until piece measures 37" from beg. Bind off all sts.
