16” and 29” length circular knitting needles, size 10 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

With circular needle, cast on 218(238-262) sts. Join, taking care not to twist sts on needle. Place marker for end of rnd. Work in k1, p1 rib for 1/2”.
Establish Pat St: * P43(48-54), work 23 sts Lily of the Valley st, p43*, place marker; rep between *’s once more, sl end of rnd marker. Continue in pats as established, slipping markers every rnd, and dec 1 st each side of each marker (therefore 4 sts are dec’d) every 7th(8th-8th) rnd 7(6-6) times. Work even on remaining 190(214-238) sts until piece measures 10(10-1/2-11)” from beg.
For Size Small Only: Next rnd: [P2tog, work to 2 sts before center panel, p2tog, work 23 sts panel, p2tog, work to 2 sts before next marker, p2tog] twice. Work 1 row even.
Next rnd: [P3tog, work to 2 sts before center panel, p2tog, work 23 sts panel, p2tog, work to 3 sts before next marker, p3tog] twice. Work 1 rnd even. Rep last 2 rnds 9 times more, AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 11" from beg, bind off center 13 sts of front for neck and work back and forth, binding off from each neck edge 3 sts once, 2 sts once, dec 1 st every other row 4 times. After all decs have been worked, bind off remaining 31 sts for back neck.

FINISHING
Block piece to measurements.
Collar: With RS facing, using shorter circular needle, pick up and k 85(85-89) sts evenly around neck edge. Mark for beg of round and carry marker up. Join and work in St st for 3". Bind off all sts loosely.
GAUNTLETS
With dpn, cast on 48 sts. Divide sts evenly over 3 needles (16 sts on each needle). Join, taking care not to twist st on needles. Place marker for end of rnd. Work in k2, p2 rib for 12". Bind off in rib. Sew in ends.
