In Chinchilla and Furz.

FINISHED SIZE
9” wide x 70” long (not including fringe).

 

MATERIALS
BERROCO CHINCHILLA (50 grs), 3 balls #5554 Ripe Eggplant (A).
BERROCO FURZ (50 grs), 3 balls #3854 Ripe Eggplant (B).
Straight knitting needles, size 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook, size 5.50 mm (I).

 

GAUGE
7 sts = 2” in Garter Stitch.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

 

SCARF
With size 8 needles, using A, cast on 32 stitches. * Knit 8 rows. Change to B and knit 8 rows. Repeat from * until piece measures approximately 70” from beginning, end with 8 rows A. Bind off all stitches. Weave in ends.
Fringe: Using 1 strand each of A and B held together, cut 2 12” long strands of yarn. Put 2 strands together and fold in half. With crochet hook, draw center of strands through first stitch of cast-on edge of scarf, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. In this manner, make fringe in each stitch across entire cast-on edge of scarf. Repeat for bound-off edge of scarf. Trim fringe to even off
if necessary.
