GAUGE
24 sts = 4”;  20 rows = 4” in Pat St.TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

PATTERN STITCH (Multiple of 18)
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2:  Purl.
Row 3:  * (K2 tog) 3 times, (yo, k1) 6 times, (k2 tog) 3 times, rep from * across.
Row 4:  Knit.Rep these 4 rows for Pat St.

STRIPE SEQUENCE
*Working in Pat St, work 4 rows A, 4 rows B, 4 rows C, 4 rows D, rep from * 16 times more for Stripe Sequence.

SCARF
With straight needles, using A, cast on 36 sts.  Work even in Pat St following Stripe Sequence until 17 reps of Stripe Sequence have been completed, end on WS.  Bind off all sts.  Weave in ends. Select a different colorway:
