Rows 1-8: Work in Moss St.
Row 9 (RS): *K1, yo, SKP, k3, k2tog, yo; rep from *, end k1.
Rows 10, 12 and 14: Purl.
Row 11: *K2, yo, SKP, k1, k2tog, yo, k1; rep from *, end k1.

With size 8 needles, cast on 137(153-161-177-185) sts. K 2 rows. Work in Vandyke Moss Stripe for 22 rows, inc 2(dec 2-inc 2-dec 2-inc 2) sts evenly across last row. Work in Vandyke Lacy Pat on 139(151-163-175-187) sts until piece measures 8-1/2(9-9=1/2-10-10-1/2)" from beg, end on WS.
Divide for Fronts and Back: Next Row (RS): Work 33(36-39-42-45) sts for Right Front and place sts on a holder, bind off 2 sts for armhole, work until there are 69(75-81-87-93) sts from bind off and place sts on a holder for back, bind off 2 sts for armhole, work to end. Continue on remaining 33(36-39-42-45) sts for Left Front only until piece measures 10(11-12-12-13)" from beg, end with a pat row 6. Work all sts in moss st until piece measures 12(13-14-15-16)" from beg, end on RS.
Shape Neck: Next Row (WS): Bind off 3(4-4-5-5) sts (neck edge), work to end. Continue to bind off from neck edge 3 sts twice, 2 sts twice. Work even until piece measures 14(15-16-17-18)" from beg. Bind off remaining 20(22-25-27-30) sts for shoulder.
BACK
Sl next 69(75-81-87-93) sts from holder to needle and work on Back sts only, until piece measures 10(11-12-12-13)" from beg, end with a pat row 6. Work all sts in moss st until piece measures 14(15-16-17-18)" from beg. Bind off all sts.
RIGHT FRONT
Sl remaining 33(36-39-42-45) sts from holder to needle and complete to correspond to
Left Front, reversing neck shaping.
SLEEVES
With size 8 needles, cast on 33(33-33-35-37) sts. Work in Moss st for 1", dec 0(0-0-2-4) sts evenly on last row. Work in Vandyke Lacy Pat as follows:
Next Row (RS): K1, work pat over next 31 sts, k1. Continue in pat as established, working first and last st in St st for selvage sts, and inc 1 st each side (inside of selvage sts and into pat) every 2nd row 0(0-0-3-3) times, every 4th row 6(12-16-16-18) times, then every 6th row 5(2-0-0-0) times. Work even on 55(61-65-71-75) sts until piece measures 11(12-13-14-15)" from beg, end with a pat row 6. Bind off all sts.
FINISHING
Sew shoulder seams.
Left Frontband: With RS facing, using size 8 needles, beg at start of neck shaping, pick up and k 57(61-65-71-75) sts evenly spaced along left front edge. Work in Moss St for 5 rows. K 1 row. Bind off all sts knitwise on WS.
Right Frontband: Beg at cast-on edge of right front, work same as for left frontband for 2 rows.
Next (Buttonhole) Row (WS): Work 4 sts, bind off 2 sts, [work until there are 12 sts from bind-off, bind off 2 sts] 4 times, work to end. On next row, cast on 2 sts over each set of bound-off sts. Complete to correspond to left frontband.
Collar: With RS facing, using size 8 needles, beg at right frontband, pick up and k 18(19-19-20-20) sts along right front neck, 31(33-33-35-35) sts along back neck and 18(19-19-20-20) sts along left front neck edge to end of left frontband – 67(71-71-75-75) sts. Work in Moss St for 2". Bind off in pat.
Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons.
