SIZE
One size fits most.

MATERIALS
BERROCO FOLIAGE (50 grs), 5 balls #5971 Aeonium (MC).
BERROCO SUEDE (50 grs), 1 ball #3745 Calamity Jane (CC).
Straight knitting needles, size 11 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook, size 5.00 mm (H).

GAUGE
12 sts = 4”;  14 rows = 4” in Garter St with MC on size 11 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

PONCHO
With straight needles, using MC, cast on 55 sts.  Work even in Garter St until piece measures 54” from beg.  Bind off all sts.

FINISHING
Fold poncho in half widthwise with the cast-on and bound-off edges tog and to your right.  Starting at these edges, sew right edges (as they face you) tog 15” up from cast-on/bound-off edges and leaving 12” before fold open for neck.
Fringe:  Cut three 16” long strands of CC.  Put strands tog and fold in half.  With RS facing, using crochet hook, draw center of strands through first st on cast-on edge of poncho forming a loop.  Pull ends of fringe through this loop.  In this manner, make fringe in every other st across cast-on and bound-off edges of poncho.  Trim if necessary.
