MATERIALS
1 Hank BERROCO ULTRA ALPACA FINE (100 grs), #1293 Spiceberry Mix
Straight knitting needles, size 7 (4.50 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

GAUGE
14 sts = 4”;  16 rows = 4” in Elongate Pat St
TO SAVE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE
Note:  Gauge given is after blocking

ELONGATED PATTERN STITCH

Row 1 (RS):  Knit.

Row 2:  Knit.

Row 3:  K1, * yo twice, k1, rep from * across.

Row 4:  Knit, dropping all yo’s.

Rep these 4 rows for Elongated Pat St.

SCARF

With straight needles, cast on 50 sts.  Note:  Either cast on loosely or use a larger size needle for cast-on only.  Work even in Elongated Pat St until you are almost out of yarn (ours measured approximately 66” from beg), end with Row 1 of Pat St.  Bind off loosely knitwise.

FINISHING

Wet block to achieve finished measurements.  Allow to dry flat.
