THROW

GAUGE
22 sts = 4”;  20 rows = 4” in Pat St following Stripe Sequence on
size 8 circular needle.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

PATTERN STITCH (Multiple of 18)
Row 1 (RS):
  Knit.
Row 2:  Purl.
Row 3:  * (K2 tog) 3 times, (yo, k1) 6 times, (k2 tog) 3 times, rep from * across.
Row 4:  Knit.
Rep these 4 rows for Pat St.

STRIPE SEQUENCE
Working 8 rows with each color, work as follows:  * A, B, C, D, E, F, rep from * 3 times more.
Throw: With circular needle, using A, cast on 216 sts.  Work even in Pat St, following Stripe Sequence until 4 reps of Stripe Sequence have been completed, end on WS.  Piece should measure approximately 39” from beg.  Bind off all sts.
Fringe:  Cut  two 12” long strands of F.  Put strands tog and fold in half.  With crochet hook, draw center of strands through first st of cast-on edge of throw forming a lp.  Pull ends of fringe through this lp.  In this manner, make fringe in every other st along entire cast-on edge of throw.  Using B, make fringe along entire bound-off edge of throw.  Trim fringe to even off if necessary.
Note:  For speedier cutting, wrap yarn multiple times around a piece of cardboard that is the desired finished length of the fringe.  Cut the lower edge to free wrapped strands.

PILLOW 1a

GAUGE
19 sts = 4” in St st with A and B held tog.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
Pillow Top:  With straight needles, using B, cast on 69 sts.  Join G and work even in St st until piece measures 14 1/2” from beg, end on WS.  Fasten off G and bind off all sts with B.
Pillow Back (Make 2): With straight needles, using B, cast on 69 sts.  Join G and work even in St st until piece measures 7 1/4” from beg, end on WS.
Snap Placket: Knit 11 rows.  Fasten off G and bind off all sts with B.

FINISHING
Lap one pillow back over the other along Snap Plackets.  Sew snaps evenly spaced along placket edges with 1/2 of snap on WS of outer placket and the other 1/2 on RS of inner placket.  Close snap fasteners to hold the 2 pieces tog.  Using tapestry needle and B, sew pillow top to pillow back, easing in any fullness.  Unsnap plackets and insert pillow form.  Re-snap plackets.
