FINISHING Steam pieces with hot steam iron and a pressing cloth. Sew raglan sleeve caps to raglan armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams. Lay Scarf flat with WS facing up. Place markers at points A and B as shown in schematic. Lay sweater flat with RS of front facing up; place markers along neck edge at midpoint of top of left sleeve and 1 3/4” to left of left raglan seam. Fold cast-on edge of scarf in half with RS’s facing each other. Sew folded piece at cast-on edge to neck edge between markers, with fold-line at sleeve marker. With WS of scarf and sweater facing, sew scarf from point A to point B around neck edge, beginning 3 1/4” to the left of the left raglan seam marker (leaving a 1 1/2” length of the neckline open), and ending at left sleeve marker. Insert longer tie through gap in front neck, from the top down. Fringe:Cut two 11” long strands of B. Holding both strands tog, fold in half. With crochet hook, draw center of strands through st at point C of schematic, forming a lp. Pull ends of fringe through this lp. In this manner, make fringe closely spaced along edge of scarf to point D of schematic, and along bind-off edges of scarf ties. Trim fringe to even off if necessary. Note:For speedier cutting, wrap yarn multiple times around a piece of cardboard that is the desired finished length of the fringe. Cut the lower edge to free wrapped strands.
