One size FINISHED MEASUREMENTS MATERIALS GAUGE STITCH GLOSSARY M1R Insert point of RH needle from back to front under strand between next 2 sts, lift this strand onto LH needle and knit it through the front loop M1L Insert point of RH needle from front to back under strand between next 2 sts, lift this strand onto LH needle and knit it through the back loop DD (Double Dec) SSK, return resulting st to LH needle, pass next st over it and off the needle, slip st back to RH needle PETAL (Make 6) With straight needles, cast on 7 sts. Row 1 (RS): P3, M1R, k1, M1L, p3 – 9 sts. Row 2 and all WS rows: K the k sts and p the p sts as they face you. Row 3: P3, M1R, k3, M1L, p3 – 11 sts. Row 5: P3, k5, p3. Row 7: P3, k1, DD, k1, p3 – 9 sts. Row 9: P3, DD, p3 – 7 sts. Row 11: P2, p3 tog, p2 – 5 sts. Row 13: P1, p3 tog, p1 – 3 sts. Row 15: P3 tog. Fasten off. FINISHING Arrange 6 petals in a circle and sew cast-on edges tog. Using crochet hook, join yarn with a sl st at center, make a chain 2” long, join with a sl st in center of flower. Sew button in center of flower. Loop may be fastened over a button on your coat or on a handbag. |
