Sorcerer's Scarf
knit in Chinchilla™ and Berroco Glace™

Skill level: Easy

SIZE
Approximately 7” wide x 94” long (Not including fringe).

MATERIALS
BERROCO CHINCHILLA (50 grs), 7 balls #5560 Madder Lake (A).
BERROCO GLACE (50 grs), 2 hanks #2519 Midas (B).
16” Length circular knitting needle, size 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook, size 5.00 mm (H).1 St marker.

GAUGE
14 sts = 4”;  20 rows = 4” in St st with A on size 8 needles.TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

SCARF
With circular needle, using A, cast on 60 sts.  Join, being careful not to twist sts.  Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up.  Work even in St st (k EVERY rnd) for 4”.  * Change to B and knit 3 rnds.  Change to A and knit for 1”.  Change to B and knit 3 rnds.  Change to A and knit for 4”.  Rep from * 13 times more.  Bind off all sts.
Fringe:
  Cut fifty-six 6” long strands of B and twenty-four 6” long strands of A.  Put 4 strands B tog and fold in half.  With crochet hook, draw center of strands through double thickness of cast-on edge of scarf forming a loop.  Pull ends of fringe through this loop.  Put 2 strands A tog and fold in half.  With crochet hook, draw center of strands through double thickness of cast-on edge of scarf 1/4” from first fringe forming a loop.  Pull ends of fringe through this loop.  In this manner, make fringe along cast-on and bound-off edge of scarf working through double thickness and alternating 4 strands of B and 2 strands of A – you should have 7 B fringes and 6 A fringes on each end of scarf.  Beg and end with B at both ends.
Note:
  For speedier cutting, wrap yarn multiple times around a piece of cardboard that is the desired finished length of fringe.  Cut lower
