MATERIALS
BERROCO CLICHÉ COLORS (50 grs), 2(2-2-3-3) balls #7952 Jambalaya (MC) and 1(1-1-2-2) balls each #7951 Love Potion (A) and #7953 Calypso (B).
BERROCO CLICHÉ (50 grs), 1(1-1-2-2) balls each #7838 Lemonade (C) and #7844 Bubblegum (D).
Straight knitting needles, sizes 8 and 9 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

GAUGE
17 sts = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in St st on size 9 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

STRIPE SEQUENCE
Working in St st, work 5 rows MC, * 7 rows A, 4 rows B, 3 rows MC, 7 rows C, 5 rows D, 8 row B, 5 rows MC, 3 rows D, 4 rows A, 6 rows B, then 2 rows C. Rep from * for Stripe Sequence.

BACK
With larger needles, using MC, cast on 60(64-68-72-74) sts. Knit 2 rows. Work even in St st following Stripe Sequence until piece measures 9 1/2(10-10 1/2-11 11 1/2)” from beg, end on RS. Purl the next row, dec 13(13-13-12-12) sts evenly spaced across – 47(51-55-60-62) sts. Work even still following Stripe Sequence until piece measures 11(11 1/2-12-12 1/2-13)” from beg, end on WS. Discontinue Stripe Sequence and work from here in St st with MC. Work even until piece measures 12(12 1/2-13 1/2-14 1/2-15 1/2)”, end on WS.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 3(3-3-5-5) sts at beg of the next 2 rows.
Dec Row (RS): K2, KSP, k to last 4 sts, SSK, k2. Rep this dec every RS row 2(3-3-3-3) times more. Work even on 35(37-41-42-44) sts until armholes measure 2 1/2(3-3 1/2-4-4 1/2)”, end on RS.
Shape Neck: Next Row (WS): P7(7-8-8-8), k21(23-25-26-28), p7(7-8-8-8).
Following Row (RS): K7(7-8-8-8), join another ball of MC and bind off center 21(23-25-26-28), k to end. Working both sides at once, work even until armholes measure 4(4 1/2-5-5 1/2-6)”, end on WS. Bind off 7(7-8-8-8) sts each side for shoulders.

FRONT
Work same as for Back.

BELT
With smaller needles, using MC. Cast on 1 st.
Row 1: Inc 1 st – 2 sts.
Row 2: Inc 1 st in first st, k1 – 3 sts.
Row 3: Inc 1 st in first st, k1, inc 1 st in last st – 5 sts. Work even in Garter St until belt measures 34(36-38-40-41)”.
Next Row: K2 tog, k1, k2 tog – 3 sts.
Following Row: K3 tog – 1 st. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Sew shoulder and side seams. Tack center point of belt to center of back where desired. Tie belt in front as in photo.
