FINISHING Cut two 30” long strands of A. Holding strands together, thread into tapestry needle. Beginning at one side edge of cowl (this will be the lower edge), weave strands in and out through first row of holes of filet pat to the other side edge, skip over the next row of holes, then weave in and out of the next row of holes back to beginning. Cut four 30” long strands of B. Holding strands together, thread into tapestry needle. Beginning at same edge of cowl as A, weave strands in and out through row of holes skipped over with B, skip over the next row of holes that were already woven with A, then weave in and out through next row of holes back to beg. In this manner, alternately weave strands of A and B until all rows of cowl have been filled. Sew cast-on edge and bound-off edge together. Hold 2 strands of A and 4 strands of B from adjoining woven rows together. Divide into 3 groups (1 group of A strands and 2 groups of B strands) and braid together for 2½. Knot all ends together and trim to even off. In this manner, braid all strands together around cowl.
