FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 14” wide x 72” long MATERIALS2 Hanks BERROCO ULTRA ALPACA FINE (100 grs), #1281 Redwood Mix Straight knitting needles, size 7 (4.50 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE GAUGE22 sts = 4” in Pat St TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE NOTEWhen slipping the first 3 sts of a row, pull yarn up tightly as you work the next st to prevent long loops at edge PATTERN STITCHRow 1 (RS): K1, * yo, sl 1, k1, yo, pass sl st over k1 and following yo, rep from * across. Row 2: * P2 drop the yo of preceding row, rep from * across, end p1. Row 3: K2, * yo, sl 1, k1, yo, pass sl st over k1 and following yo, rep from * across, end k1. Row 4: P3, * drop the yo of preceding row, p2, rep from * across. Rep these 4 rows for Pat St. SCARFWith straight needles, cast on 105 sts. Edging: Row 1 (RS): Sl 3, k to end. Row 2: Sl 3, p to end. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 1” from beg, end on WS, decreasing 26 sts across last row – 79 sts. Establish Pat St: Row 1 (RS): Sl 3, work Row 1 of Pat St to last 3 sts, k3. Row 2: Sl 3, work Row 2 of Pat St to last 3 sts, p3. Work even in pat as established until piece measures 72” from beg, end on RS. P the next row, increasing 26 sts across – 105 sts. Rep Rows 1 and 2 of Edging for 1”, end on WS. Bind off. FINISHINGTurn edgings in half to WS and sew in place.
