Straight knitting needles, size 3 (3.25 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

GAUGE
28 sts = 4”; 56 rows = 4” in Garter St
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE

STRIP A (Make 2)

With straight needles, cast on 42 sts.  Work even in Garter St for 24”.  Bind off.

STRIP B (Make 3)

With straight needles, cast on 42 sts.  Work even in Garter St for 12”.  Bind off.

STRIP C (Make 2)

With straight needles, cast on 42 sts.  Work even in Garter St for 18”.  Bind off.

STRIP D (Make 2)

With straight needles, cast on 42 sts.  Work even in Garter St for 30”.  Bind off.

FINISHING

Sew strips together following diagram.
