Dear KnitBits® Subscribers,

Today I will show you a preview of our Spring/Summer 2006 collection of unique Berroco yarns and patterns that will bring you fashionably through the summer season. Looks inspired by fashion's arts & crafts trend, with its focus on knit and crochet, have been elegantly interpreted in our collection. This season's collection consists of 8 new pattern booklets, each with an individual focus on our newest yarns and colors of the season. For this color filled season we have developed 7 new yarns: Ultra Silk™, Yoga™, Boho™, Boho™Colors, Calico™, Idol™ and Touché™. In the next several KnitBits we will focus on each of these wonderful new yarns, showcasing an assortment of projects for the beginner through experienced yarn crafter. 2006 promises to be a great year for Berroco. Our Design Team has grown since the summer of 2005. Norah Gaughan, a prominent handknit designer, has become our new Design Director. Norah and I have worked together quite successfully on projects over the years so I am certain that our line will flourish in the years to come.

Sondra, You might enjoy the scarf that we featured in KnitBits several months ago. It is knit in 2 shades of Foliage and then embellished in Suede™ using simple embroidery stitches.
