BIB

With straight needles, using A, cast on 69 sts. Knit 6 rows. Following Stripe Sequence, work as follows:

Row 1 (RS): K2, SSK, k8, * yo, k1, yo, k9, Dec 2, k9, rep from * once more, yo, k1, yo, k8, k2 tog, k2.

Row 2 and all WS rows: Keeping 2 sts at each edge in Garter St, work even. Purl all yo’s and Dec 2’s.

Row 3 (Dec Row, RS): K2, sl 1, k2 tog, psso, k7, * yo, k1, yo, k9, Dec 2, k9, rep from * once more, yo, k1, yo, k7, k3 tog, k2 – 67 sts. Continue to work in this manner, following Stripe Sequence and working Dec Row alternately every RS row and every 4th row 15 times more. Note: When you reach a point where you cannot work the entire yo, k1, yo at beg and end of rows, work these sts in St st or Garter St (depending on where you are in Stripe Sequence). When 48 rows of Stripe Sequence have been completed and 37 sts remain, change to A.

Neckband and Ties: Row 1 (RS): With A, cast on 65 sts, k37 – 102 sts.

Row 2: With A, cast on 65 sts, k102 – 167 sts. Knit 4 rows. Bind off.
